Controls Engineer
Must have 5-7 yrs of experience in Machine controls, software testing or simulation methods
Must have prior Caterpillar experience
Required Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, CS, or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years in this capacity is a must
Required Technical Skills
• Experience with machine controls, software, testing, and simulation methods
Desired Technical Skills:
• Large Mining Trucks and Off-Highway trucks knowledge. Preferably at the machine level or system integration level.
• Expertise / Understanding of machine performance, controls, and software development
• Some expertise in the Dynasty tool
• Some understanding of truck applications
• Some understanding of Autonomous operations
Required Soft Skills
• Excellent project management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Work with various L6- L8 teams to understand configuration variations and develop detailed strategic test plans to minimize the repetition of tests on multiple machines as well as the repetition of tests
• Understand the current TPG testing/tuning activities and develop clear requirements for VPD, SIL, and HIL to reduce/eliminate the TPG testing/tuning activities for multiple in-progress/future programs
• Participate in validation workshops for AHS as well as base machine programs and provide data collection requirements for model correlation
