Job: Mechanical Engineer 4
Location-Onsite full time/Mossville IL
Role:
a. Mechanical design engineer working on electric motors. The individual will be working with a larger team to design/develop new motors. Exceptional candidates will have experience with CFD and FEA on drivetrain components.
b. Virtual simulation of thermal design for motors including verification of test results from hardware to analysis. The candidate will have a strong background in physics to understand the calculations going into the analysis and relate to physical hardware.
Interaction with team:
- Work with Simulation Team / Experts on a regular basis to develop and validate analysis programs.
- Work with test engineers to process lab data and compare with analytical predictions.
Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering and/or Physics concentration.
- 3 years of experience required.
- 5-10 years of experience preferred.
Technical Skills
(Required)
a. ProE (or similar tools like solid works), rotating components understanding
b. Thermal simulation background. Matlab experience, understand how to set up thermal simulation components. Electric motor thermal design background. ANSI background is important but open to other tools. Oil cool motors is a great fit. Air cooling is not so great
