Lab Equipment Technician

This Lab Equipment Technician position supports Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) B Department – Electromagnetic and Sensor Systems.

• To provide on-site support and management of government labs and lab equipment.
• Track and report inventory of Government owned test equipment.
• Facilitate check-in and check-out of equipment.
• Conduct shipping and receiving functions.
• Track and manage calibration of test equipment to ensure calibrations are kept up to date.
• Perform basic upkeep of test equipment.

• Minimum Qualification:
• Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED
• Experience:
  • 5 years of experience as an engineering technician in a laboratory and field test environment
  • 3 years of experience operating, maintaining, configuring, and calibrating Radio Frequency (RF) test equipment.
  • Experience conducting physical inventories and maintaining inventory records.
  • Experience managing calibration schedules for test equipment.
• Skills & Technology Used:
  • Knowledge of basic operation and upkeep of RF test equipment
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel
• Clearance Requirement:
  • SECRET

  • $55,000 – 95,000
  • The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company’s base pay compensation for locations in the Dahlgren, VA area.
