As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking a Director of Sales (Paper Division) to spearhead sales operations, drive revenue growth, and strengthen Vectus’s market leadership across the globe.

Job Overview

The Director of Sales (Paper Division) will lead and execute sales strategies for Stocklot, Prime, and Scrap Paper across the globe. This role involves overseeing regional sales teams, expanding market share, developing strong customer relationships, and driving revenue growth.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in paper trading, deep knowledge of the paper industry, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to lead high-value transactions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy & Market Expansion

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for different countries around the world to maximize revenue and market share.
  • Identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and high-growth regions for expansion.
  • Develop competitive pricing strategies based on market trends, competitor analysis, and demand forecasts.
  • Expand Vectus’s footprint by targeting paper mills, converters, distributors, and packaging manufacturers.

2. Sales Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead and manage a team comprising :
  • Country Sales Managers (covering different countries around the globe).
  • Commodity Traders specializing in Stocklot, Prime, and Scrap Paper.
  • Business Development Managers & Key Account Managers.
  • Set sales targets and KPIs to ensure team performance aligns with company goals.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and leadership development to sales professionals.
  • 3. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with paper mills, converters, packaging manufacturers, and major distributors.
  • Drive high-value contract negotiations to ensure sustainable business growth.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and develop strategies for customer retention and satisfaction.
  • 4. Competitive & Market Intelligence

  • Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Monitor key market indicators such as pulp prices, raw material availability, and trade regulations.
  • Develop data-driven insights to optimize sales strategies.
  • 5. Contract Negotiation & Pricing Strategy

  • Lead high-stakes negotiations with key buyers and suppliers across the globe.
  • Develop pricing structures that ensure profitability while remaining competitive.
  • Work closely with finance and legal teams to ensure compliance with trade regulations and contract terms.
  • 6. Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination

  • Collaborate with the Head of Supply Chain & Logistics – America to ensure seamless product delivery and order fulfillment.
  • Address and resolve logistical challenges, customs clearance issues, and supply chain bottlenecks.
  • Optimize inventory management and stock allocation for maximum efficiency.
  • 7. Revenue & Profitability Management

  • Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets are met or exceeded.
  • Identify new revenue streams within the paper industry.
  • Develop strategies to enhance profitability, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
  • 8. Reporting & Compliance

  • Provide detailed sales reports, forecasts, and market insights to the Chief Sales Officer (CSO).
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, local and international trade laws, and industry regulations.
  • Qualifications & Experience Required

  • 10 years of experience in sales, business development, or trading in the paper industry.
  • Strong expertise in Stocklot, Prime, and Scrap Paper trading.
  • Experience in commodity trading, key account management, and B2B sales.
  • Proven ability to scale revenue, expand into new markets, and develop strategic partnerships.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing regional sales teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Sales, Supply Chain, or a related field (preferred).
  • Fluency in English is highly preferred.
  • Ability to travel extensively.
