This is a nationwide position
The Construction manager is tasked with overseeing all phases of wireless in-building construction projects, including Pre-construction, Construction, System Commissioning/Integration support, and Closeout. While focusing on Safety, Quality, Budget Control, Scheduling, and Communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Primary Responsibilities
Project Planning and Preparation
- Collaborate with the Proposal Owner to validate project design, scope, and budget.
- Establish project goals, deliverables, stakeholders, risks, constraints, and timelines.
- Organize and maintain comprehensive project records
- Pinpoint critical paths and dependencies to guide project execution.
- Determine resource needs, including subcontractors, technicians, electricians etc.
Execution and Team Coordination
- Create detailed project schedules, safety plans, trackers, and related documentation to ensure smooth execution.
- Coordinate, implement, and complete multiple projects at the same time
- Communicate clear project objectives and expectations to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Participate in virtual or on-site meetings with project teams and clients.
- Conduct site visits to facilitate pre-construction activities, QA/QC reviews, punch lists, and documentation for deliverables or scope adjustments.
- Oversee ordering equipment, maintaining inventory, keeping track of shipments to ensure smooth operations during the course of the project.
Tracking and Oversight
- Provide daily updates on project progress and track completion metrics.
- Regularly assess project financial performance using internal systems.
- Approve billing and verify vendor payments monthly.
- Anticipate and address changes to project scope, schedule, or risks, implementing proactive solutions.
- Maintain and update logs for RFIs, submittals, and cost changes.
Construction:
- Create detailed project schedules, safety plans, trackers, and related documentation to ensure smooth execution.
- Oversee assembly and installation of communication equipment iDAS, oDAS, BTS, repeater systems.
- Resolve problem and develop solutions on site to ensure projects are moving forward
- Must have working knowledge of Power, AC/DC Power, Battery Banks, Volt Servers, Power plants etc.
- Must have proficiency and expertise in different expects of Inbuilding construction (Head End / BTS / Radios/ Antennas / DAS OEMs, Cabling, Fiber, BTS/HE)
- Working knowledge of test gear software for analyzing test results.
- Must have troubleshooting skills to handle trouble tickets, alarming, and maintenance activities
- Must have a high level of understanding of fusion splicing, fiber terminations, fiber dressing, fiber cleaning, and OTDR Testing
- Must have a high level of understanding and experience performing RF Sweep and PIM Measurements
Safety and Quality Assurance
- Enforce compliance with all safety protocols, including daily safety meetings, JSAs, toolbox talks, and PPE usage.
- Ensure installations are completed to the highest quality standards.
Post-Construction and Closeout
- Monitor project milestones and coordinate final activities, such as system commissioning, integration, optimization, data collection, inspections, and acceptance testing.
- Oversee the completion and delivery of project closeout packages to customers promptly.
Leadership and Relationship Building
- Lead, coach, and support project teams and subcontractors, fostering accountability and high performance.
- Build and nurture key business relationships to ensure project success.
Reflect on completed projects to refine and enhance project management practices.
