What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Recruiting Assistant position at Vedder Price?
Vedder Price is looking for a Legal Recruiting Assistant, based in our Chicago or Washington, D.C. office. The Legal Recruiting Assistant provides administrative and functional support to the Legal Recruiting team's attorney hiring efforts across all offices. This position involves a high level of interaction with the Firm's attorneys, prospective attorney candidates, office services departments in all Vedder offices, outside recruiters and law schools, as well as handling many organizational tasks. Recent college graduates or college graduates with one to two years' experience are welcome to apply.
As the Legal Recruiting Assistant your job duties will include but not be limited to :
- Maintain relationships with external recruiters and law school career services contacts
- Assist with creating and maintaining candidate files
- Assist with scheduling candidate interviews across all offices, including conference room and videoconference scheduling
- Maintain and update databases tracking open search statuses and other record- keeping tasks
- Assist with administrative tasks
- Participate in event planning in connection with the Summer Associate Program
- Process expense reports and check requests
- Assist on various reports and projects that arise on an as-needed basis
