Job Description
We are the leader in Kubernetes Backup and Disaster Recovery. Veeam Kasten, our data management platform purpose-built for Kubernetes, provides enterprise operations teams with an easy-to-use, scalable, and secure system for backup and restore, disaster recovery, and application mobility with unparalleled operational simplicity.
We are looking for a multi-talented UI Designer / Frontend Developer to our Veeam Kasten data management platform, purpose-built for Kubernetes.
Your tasks will include:
- Owning meaningful parts of the product. build, and test significant features in the Kasten product related to backup and recovery of Kubernetes applications, databases, and storage systems
- Preparing UI/UX designs in Figma as well as designing mockups and conducting UX testing
- Using a breadth of skills at every level of development - from initial design to UX wireframing, CSS styling, REST APIs, and JS development for new features
- Automating code quality with unit tests and end-to-end UI tests
What we expect from you:
- 5 years of professional experience developing, testing, and debugging Javascript/TypeScript
- Your work or portfolio visible online (e.g. portfolio site, CodePen account, or GitHub)
- At least one year of experience with a reactive framework such as React, Angular or VueJS
- Visual design experience and the ability to create visually appealing interfaces
- Ability to implement designs in mobile-responsive CSS and experience with a CSS preprocessor such as SCSS
- Experience creating design systems and building reusable web components
Will be an advantage:
- Experience creating and maintaining design systems in Figma
- VueJS and TailwindCSS experience
- Experience writing in Go (and liking it)
- Experience with container platforms and orchestrators such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience participating in and contributing to open source
- Experience with applying accessibility (a11y) standards
