Job Details
We need a resource to support and oversee day-to-day operations across multiple regional data center locations. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience within data center infrastructure and support. This role is critical in supporting infrastructure growth and ensuring the stability of our data center facilities.
Requirements:
- 3-5-year practical experience working within a Data Center environment and/or IT Infrastructure Support
- Hands-on experience with OSI Layer 1 network troubleshooting
- In-depth knowledge of fiber and copper cabling standards and practices
- Proficiency in using cable testing tools for fiber and copper connections
- Experience with server and network hardware installation in data center environments
- Familiarity with structured cabling, including patch panel and trunk installation
- Ability to inspect, clean, and maintain fiber optic connections
- Experience with environmental monitoring and responding to physical alerts (e.g., high temps, audible alarms)
- Understanding of data center capacity planning (rack space, power, switch ports)
- Ability to follow and maintain strict labeling and documentation standards
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Physical ability to lift and install hardware as needed
- Associate's Degree or Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline or equivalent direct work-related experience.
