CAD Drafter

Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented CAD Drafter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans using CAD software. This role requires a strong understanding of design principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and project managers. The CAD Drafter will play a crucial role in ensuring that designs meet specifications and are completed on time.

Duties

• Educational Background:
• Minimum of a two-year technical degree in mechanical drafting, with an emphasis on mechanical rather than architectural drafting.
• Any drafting degree is acceptable.
• A bachelor's degree is also acceptable, but hands-on job experience in drafting is essential.

• Experience:
• At least two years of applicable on-the-job drafting experience, preferably in a mechanical environment rather than building and construction.
• Hands-on experience in areas like welding and fabrication, general equipment service, manufacturing, or assembly is beneficial.

• Software Proficiency:
• Proficiency in PTC Creo, which is the 3D modeling and drafting software used in this position.
• Experience with other parametric modeling and drafting software like Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, or traditional AutoCAD is also suitable.

• Technical Skills:
• Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME Y14.5 standards.
• Strong technical skills in mechanical drafting within environments such as equipment or automotive drafting.
• General Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, OneNote, Teams, and Outlook for communication.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
