Job Description
The Coordinator of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education (CLDE) leads, plans, implements, evaluates and supports a comprehensive K-8 Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education program/services at Vega.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with ESSA/TITLE III/ELPA/OCR/CDE/local policies and regulations in regard to the needs of the school’s multilingual learners
- Models and reviews CLDE Mission/Vision periodically
- Ensures all student screeners are completed on time.
- Provides professional development designed to meet the needs of multilingual learners to classroom teachers, CLDE staff, etc.
- Works collaboratively with school-level leadership, CLDE Teachers, and classroom teachers to ensure the needs of MLLs are met
- Supports CLDE staff with the maintenance of MLL educational records (paper/electronic)
- Ensures all MLLs have appropriate placement and each MLL has an active ELP (English Language Plan)
- Ensures compliance with tracking student growth in all four domains
- Teaches 2 ELD blocks daily for students in grades K-8
- Collaborates with various departments/programs to meet the needs of MLLs
- Plans and facilitates CLDE Parent Engagement trimester meetings
- Prepares an annual staff allocation for CLDE, subject to approval by the Executive Director of the school
- Conducts routine audits of school-based CLDE services/programing to ensure compliance
- Serves as an advocate for the needs of MLLs in a professional and appropriate manner
- Is an integral part of ACCESS testing proctoring and make ups.
- Maintains positive relationships with all stakeholders
- Performs other duties as assigned

Salary and Benefits
Vega Collegiate Academy offers a competitive salary and comprehensive health benefits package. The salary range for this role is $55,000 - $90,000.
Start Date
Vega Collegiate Academy staff will begin training and orientation on July 15, 2025.
