Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low voltage systems, including cabling, surveillance, and system design. This role involves working both independently and as part of a team to install, maintain, and troubleshoot various low voltage systems in residential and commercial environments.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure low voltage systems, including surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and structured cabling.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on existing systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for installation tasks.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Document all service work performed and maintain accurate records of installations and repairs.
  • Detect issues in system performance and implement corrective measures promptly.
  • Provide field service support as needed, responding to service calls in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies related to low voltage systems and remote access software.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role in the low voltage industry.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with computer hardware related to low voltage systems.
  • Familiarity with cabling standards and installation practices.
  • Experience with surveillance systems is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently in the field while managing time effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration within the team.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
