What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with dev teams to stand up and maintain applications and services in AWS
- Propose best-practice infrastructure for maximum scalability, reliability, and security
- Experiment with open-source apps to solve business and technical needs
- Automate and improve development and release processes
- Identify scalability and performance issues at the infrastructure/application/DB level
- Perform root cause analysis of production errors and help resolve technical issues
- Work closely with the corporate MSP to determine what work you want to hand off
- Ensure that cloud environments are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
Qualifications
What You'll Need:
- 5 years of experience in a role
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS, its offerings, best practices, security configuration, logging, and automation via infrastructure-as-code
- Strong knowledge of a variety of open-source applications, with the ability to configure, install, and maintain them in containers
- Significant experience with Linux and its variants
- Experience deploying and administering dev tools (SCM, IaC, SCA, DAST, CI/CD)
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools, such as NewRelic, Splunk, Datadog
- Working knowledge of scripting languages, databases, and SQL
- Basic understanding of all phases of the software development life cycle
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
