About The Role
As a Director, and Head of Product for Supply Chain Tech, you will own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Veho’s core Supply Chain products—spanning Facilities & Under-the-Roof Tech, Network & Ship Tech, and Transportation Tech. You will lead a team responsible for the technology and systems that power Veho’s ground operations and logistics network.
Supply Chain Tech’s 2025 Goals Include
- Network Orchestration – This central system plans, routes, and monitors every package’s journey, from induction to final delivery. It integrates real-time data, forecasts, and cost constraints to optimize package movement from one leg to the next, recommends line-haul scheduling, set service dates, handle exceptions, and ensure on-time delivery at minimal expense. This Shipment Planning Execution Coordination (SPEC) orchestration provides complete visibility across all nodes in the network, managing both current operations and future capacity needs.
- Facility Command Center (Warehouse Management System) – Provide an integrated, real-time view of workforce, inventory, and operations for in-facility supervisors.
- Exception Management & Directed Workflows – Streamline workflows for all process paths including exception handling to reduce defects, strengthen chain-of-custody tracking with automated decision-making, and intuitive user experience for ground operations associates.
What a Great Candidate Looks Like
- 8 years of experience in Product Management with deep Supply Chain domain expertise, particularly Middle Mile Tech, Network/Ship Tech, and Transportation.
- Proven success writing 3-Year Plans, Vision Documents, and Operating Plans to define big, bold goals and long-range strategies.
- Top-to-bottom thinker who can operate at a strategic level yet dive into the lowest level of detail when needed, ensuring issues are addressed at the source.
- Track record creating product roadmaps for green space supply chain tech opportunities, bringing operations and tech leadership along to execute your vision.
- Comfortable collaborating and influencing Operations, Engineering, and C-suite stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.
- Demonstrated ability to balance user needs, technical constraints, and business goals in a fast paced, high-growth environment.
- Stellar communication and people leadership skills; experience managing and mentoring product managers or similar teams.
- Passion for thinking big, taking ownership, driving impact, and delivering ambitious outcomes.
- Comfortable in a facilities setting, with the ability to navigate operational environments and collaborate effectively with warehouse and ground operations teams.
- Set the Strategic Vision: Own the product vision and roadmap for Veho’s Supply Chain Tech, spanning ground operations, network orchestration, and transportation.
- Drive Product Excellence: Translate business objectives into clear product requirements that maximize customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and cost savings.
- Collaborate & Influence: Partner with Operations, Engineering, Data Science, and Operations Research to design, build, and launch mission-critical systems and workflows.
- Lead High-Performing Teams: Hire, mentor, and develop product managers to achieve exceptional results in an inclusive, dynamic environment.
- Stay Lean & Hands-On: Veho is an agile company, so you’ll occasionally write business and product requirement documents yourself to meet tight timelines and rapidly evolving needs.
- Own Business Area Metrics: Track and report on weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance, leading regular business reviews to ensure alignment with strategic and operational goals.
- Communicate at All Levels: Present strategic updates and performance metrics to Veho’s senior leadership and broader organization, shaping the long-term vision.
- Deliver Tangible Impact: Maintain ownership of performance metrics such as UPH, defects, OTD rates, cost optimization, operational efficiency, and under the roof workforce productivity.
- Engage on the Ground: Reside in one of Veho’s core markets (where a Veho facility is located) and spend time on-site at least weekly to gain first-hand insights and foster strong relationships with local operations teams.
- Supply Chain Mastery: Comprehensive understanding of logistics and warehouse operations, with practical experience specifically with delivering Middle Mile software solutions.
- Technical Savvy: Comfortable working at the intersection of data science, operations research, and software engineering.
- Vision & Strategy: Ability to define and communicate a bold product direction through robust planning, from 3-year strategic roadmaps to detailed execution plans.
- Team Leadership: Proven ability to grow, manage, and inspire product teams, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
- Operational Mindset: Skilled in bridging the gap between product vision and hands-on operational execution, consistently delivering measurable results.
- Exceptional Communication: Adept at translating complex ideas into concise, compelling narratives for cross-functional stakeholders and executive audiences.
- Base Salary: $200,000 – $250,000, dependent on experience, skills, and education.
