In this role, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and counsel on a wide range of commercial and employment related legal matters that align with our company culture and business objectives. You will work closely with our Sales, Business Development, Customer Success, Procurement, and People Team.

About The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Legal Counsel to join our legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and counsel on a wide range of commercial and employment related legal matters that align with our company culture and business objectives. You will work closely with our Sales, Business Development, Customer Success, Procurement, and People Team.
What You’ll Do
Commercial Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and lead the negotiation with sophisticated partners of key agreements , including:
- Customer Agreements
- Vendor Agreements (Saas, sponsorships, marketing)
- Non-Disclosure Agreements
- Data Processing Agreements
- Improve contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and legal workflows
- Advise on employment matters, including
- offer letters,
- performance management,
- workplace investigations,
- reorganizations,
- employee policies, and
- separation agreements.
- Advise on employment law trends and complex personnel issues, collaborating with the People Team to ensure compliance while aligning with business objectives.
- Provide training to employees on legal and compliance matters
- Collaborate across teams and within the legal team to to support various legal projects
- You excel at drafting and negotiating complex agreements, balancing legal risk with business needs.
- You have hands-on experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools and innovative legal processes.
- Proven track record in both commercial and employment law matters, including workplace investigations, employee relations issues, leave administration, pay equity, performance management and policy development.
- You thrive in fast-paced environments, solve problems proactively, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- You have a proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- You hold a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and are licensed in one of the 50 U.S. states.
- Experience working in the logistics or transportation industry
- Experience working with a high-growth technology company
- Experience advising on privacy issue
