JOB DESCRIPTION:
Since 1983, Vehrs Distributing has been on a mission to create and deliver the best premium wine and spirits portfolio in the Pacific Northwest. Vehrs is seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join the Vehrs team, the largest wine, spirit and non-alcoholic distributor in Washington State.
Work Schedule:
Tuesday – Friday:
- Load products into the van for delivery each morning, coordinating with warehouse and sales personnel.
- Inspect product for breakage, shrinkage or mis picks due to negligence before departing the warehouse.
- Deliver merchandise to retailers and non-retail accounts in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, documenting all necessary steps and communicating effectively with the warehouse team.
Job Functions:
At Vehrs Distributing Company our Delivery Drivers are the primary point of contact with our customers, and as it is our promise to always deliver with customer service it is essential that our drivers can maintain that positive customer experience when delivering our product.
Other essential job functions of a Delivery Driver are as follows:
- Verify product to ensure that there are no discrepancies with customer invoices.
- Collect and document customer payment at the time of delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness of delivery van and perform maintenance as needed.
- Adhere to delivery schedule based on priorities, delivery locations, and road conditions.
The above listed items are not all encompassing and may change from time to time. As with any position with Vehrs Distributing Company, this position may be required to handle other duties and responsibilities not mentioned above to assist in accomplishing the common goals of the Company.
Requirements:
- Valid Washington State driver license with a clean driving record.
- Must have the ability to lift and carry heavy loads of up to 50 lbs. and above.
- The ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Have one year of customer service or related experience.
- Previous delivery or driving experience preferred but not required.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and have strong work ethic.
- Candidates must be 21 years of age or older.
Competitive hourly wage guarantees full-time position. Vehrs provides the Van for deliveries.
