This position requires a hardworking, deadline driven individual who performs a variety of duties in receiving and handling raw materials. The Raw Materials/Inventory Control Technician ensures compliance with established procedures and must have excellent communication skills that support interaction between all departments.

This position is day shift Monday through Friday 0600-1430

Duties and Responsibilities:­

• Responsible for unloading raw materials from railcars and trucks
• Moves raw materials into silo or storage spaces
• Ensures that raw materials are staged and ready for production in appropriate areas.
• Cleans silo areas and silo fill areas
• Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of material storage area
• Operates forklift, crane, material lift, and vacuum unloader for rail cars
• Assists in daily inventory counts and assists in maintaining reports.
• All other duties as assigned

• Good verbal communication skills
• Dependable and punctual
• Basic computer skills, including Excel & SAP
• Basic mathematical knowledge
• Ability to effectively manage time
• Ability to multi task effectively
  
  

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to obtain forklift and crane certification
  
  

Organizational Relationship

• Reports directly to Inventory Control Supervisor
  
  

Working Conditions

• Ability to work extended hours as business needs dictate
• Must be able to move objects up to 75 pounds
• Ability to ascend or descend ladders and stairs and the like
• Ability to stand, sit, walk, push, pull for extended periods of time, occasionally kneeling and bending
