What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grinder Operator-Nightshift position at VEKA?
JOB SUMMARY: Grind off standard PVC lineals.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
1. Grind off standard X1 PVC
2. Insure all lineals to be ground, clean and free of weather strip or other contamination.
3. Properly operate grinder within operating parameters.
4. Conform to all safety requirements while operating grinder.
5. Maintain excellent housekeeping in grinding area.
6. Operate forklift to move full and empty racks in and out of grinding room.
7. Log grinder output – pounds per shift.
8. All other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Ability to segregate scrap to insure only clean material is ground. Possess good mechanical skills. Operate forklift.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: GED, High School Education.
NOTE: THIS IS A 12 HOUR SHIFT SCHEDULE-NIGHTSHIFT
