What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packer position at VEKA?
PAY $17.50/HR
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Visually inspect profiles for gross defects and general appearance.
- Package profiles neatly and properly, either in racks, bundles, or boxes.
- Dispose of scrap profile in designated racks (evenly stacked, properly segregated)
- Maintain adequate housekeeping of his or her work area.
- Notify operator and/or Group Leader of any quality problems that occur.
- Push full racks of material out to be sealed.
- Line empty racks with plastic.
- Adhere to safety requirements and inform the Group Leader of any unsafe situations.
- Assists other packers with their duties.
- Assists material handler in sealing and banding racks.
- Put tote’s on line and fill them.
- Watch profiles for dimensions and surface defects.
SECONDARY DUTIES: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Good Oral Communication
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: GED, High School Education, or previous work experience
All other duties as assigned
