Vela Transport is expanding and looking to add an experienced diesel mechanic to our growing team! Based in Wyoming, MI, we are seeking skilled diesel technicians to help support the maintenance needs of our dedicated drivers. Mechanic is responsible for maintaining their own daily tools. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safety checks on vehicles
- Truck engine maintenance; lube, oil, and filter
- Tire inspections and repairs
- Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, suspension, brake and air systems on our vehicles and trailers.
- Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
- Review and complete repairs from our fleet
- Maintains a clean, safe work area
