Estate Planning Associate Attorney

Job Description Job DescriptionOur firm is currently seeking a full-time bilingual Estate Planning Associate, with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a licensed attorney. Although estate planning experience is helpful, it is not required. The selected candidate for this position should be comfortable meeting with potential and existing clients, have strong written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and have an interest in trust and estate law.

• The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8 : 30am to 5 : 00pm. The Estate Planning Associate reports to our office in Downey. This position is also eligible for the following benefits : Medical insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife insurance401k with matchPaid vacationPaid holidaysPaid sick leaveProfessional development assistanceEssential Position ResponsibilitiesPrepare various legal documents in connection with the firm’s trust and estate practice, such as trusts, wills, powers of attorney, advance health care directives, deeds, etc.Assist with the preparation of documents for probate, trust administration, guardianships and conservatorships.Regularly meet with clients to understand their needs and assist them in execution of their plans.Attend court hearings, conduct legal research, and gather and analyze client data and information.Additional responsibilities as assigned.QualificationsBilingual in English and Spanish required.Licensed member of the State Bar of California, in good standing.Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a licensed attorney.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with a variety of individuals.Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow instructions.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Impeccable attention to detail.Excellent self and time management skills to meet deadlines and complete projects.How to ApplyThank you for your interest in the Estate Planning Associate opportunity available with Velasco Law Group!
