The Financial Analyst, FP&A will support the FP&A team with analysis, presentations and project work across many of the areas with which the FP&A team partners. These include Corporate FP&A, regional Commercial and P&L, Supply Chains/Operations, Marketing and R&D/Innovation.
Essential Job Functions:
This role will flex and change as needed throughout the monthly and annual calendars
Tasks will include recurring reporting (e.g. monthly close) as well as strategic and tactical project work
Annual additional tasking for Strategic Plan and annual Budget
This role will work closely with all other areas within the FP&A team, and for its business partners on the Velcro Executive Leadership Team
Data analysis of accounting results, forecasting future performance, building and tracking Key Performance Indicators, recognizing drivers and risks/opportunities
Being part of project teams that may work on tactical projects that have delivery dates of a few weeks or months all the way up to strategic projects that will span several years
Ability to strike the right balance of being willing and able to dig into the details while keeping in mind the big picture
Exposure and working with Accounting, Commercial, Marketing, Operations/Supply Chain, R&D, Tax, Treasury, Audit
Variance analysis of financial performance vs prior actuals or budget/forecast
Work with Trade Working Capital, especially inventory
Job Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
1-5 years of experience in Corporate Finance, preferably in a Manufacturing environment, preferably for a company with global offices/production
Background and understanding of product costing is desirable
Prior experience in project work and building and delivering presentations
Self-starter that does not require a lot of hand-holding to get up to speed
Dealing with ambiguity; oftentimes there will be no "user's manual" and will have to investigate a problem and come up with own proposal of how to solve it
Ability to work independently without needing to be micromanaged
Strong interpersonal skills and comfort in working with senior leaders; team player
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially high-level Excel and to a lesser degree PowerPoint Board (BFC), QlikSense and PowerBI a plus
Travel up to 10% (domestic and international).
