Accountant
The Accountant will play a critical role in the monthly close process. They will be someone who is detail oriented, has the ability to prioritize, has accountability and can work well in a small team environment.

Essential Functions:

• Prepares monthly journal entries related to revenue and performs analysis of related data to ensure accuracy and completeness of amounts recorded.
• Prepares bi-weekly payroll entries and month payroll accrual
• Performs analysis of payroll across departments and locations
• Performs detailed analysis of cost of goods sold and prepares monthly journal entries related to cost of goods sold accruals.
• Reviews market level analysis of inventory and prepares inventory related monthly journal entries.
• Performs market level analysis of gross profit after revenue and cost of goods sold is recorded on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and reasonableness of financial results.
• Responds to accounting related questions from remote locations.
• Downloads cash activity from bank websites and ensures accuracy entry into the Company s general ledger.
• Performs research with appropriate personnel within the Company to ensure accurate recording of cash transactions.
• Performs assigned account reconciliations on a monthly basis.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares audit schedules and responds to audit inquiries upon request.
• Performs other projects and reconciliation activities, as requested by Supervisor.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3-7 years of corporate accounting experience.
• Effective communication, strong work ethic, attention to detail and ability to follow through and to see big picture process improvement is critical.
• Detail oriented, highly organized, and computer literate with proficiency in MS and Outlook, with extensive experience utilizing Excel in the preparation and development of spread sheets to support all accounting functions.
• Prior experience with general ledger.
• NAV experience preferred.
• Account reconciliation.
• Multiple location.
• Past roles in accounting that contributed significantly to the month end close process.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• A bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA or pursuing desirable.
