What You’ll Do
- Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment.
- Manage and develop a team of Department Supervisors and Team Leads.
- Lead day-to-day warehouse operations, including direct and indirect responsibility for all inbound and outbound activities and related personnel.
- Ensure safe work practices are established and adhered to, working with Director, Supply Chain and Safety Department.
- Ensure standard processes are developed, improved, and maintained. Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance and control protocols.
- Design and deliver initiatives across the site to improve operational performance and efficiency.
- Lead and/or handle all aspects of employee management for core warehouse operations, including but not limited to; interviewing/hiring, performance management, scheduling/staffing, conflict resolution, timecard management, and productivity planning.
- Identify, implement, and manage operational performance metrics, with a focus on customer satisfaction, goal attainment, and continuous improvement.
- Responsible for equipment and resource management for the warehouse and staff.
- Maintain constant communication with staff and project stakeholders to ensure deployment success.
- 5 years of proven success in an operations management role.
- 5 years of industry experience (supply chain, warehousing, fulfillment, logistics).
- Possess high levels of initiative, problem solving, ownership, and follow through.
- Proven experience defining and implementing process improvements.
- Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of warehouse operations and communication with adjacent departments and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clear, concise, and accurate communication, written and verbal.
- Relevant experience working with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment.
- Able to work a flexible schedule/shift, including overtime.
- Physically able to repetitively stand, lift, bend, stoop, climb and reach, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Logistics, Operations, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field).
- 5 years managing a team of 20 or more direct and indirect employees in a supply chain or similar environment.
- Experience implementing process improvements utilizing standard methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
