The Senior Analyst, Real World Insights focuses on gathering and interpreting data from diverse data sources - including publications, clinical trial outcomes, findings reports, company earning calls, financial data, and other qualitative and quantitative data sources/databases. Leveraging these data sources, you will provide actional recommendations on therapeutic areas and market segments that align with the Organization’s growth objectives. A key aspect of this role is identifying emerging trends, evaluating market opportunities, and delivering insights that support informed business development decisions. Duties/Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of industry-specific trends, including technological advancements, regulatory changes, and market demand within the pharmaceutical and Clinical Research sectors.
- Pharmaceutical and Clinical Research market sizing and forecasting, including regional and vertical specific analysis.
- Perform comprehensive research on the pharmaceutical and clinical trials industries to identify growth opportunities, emerging markets and market segments, and potential risks.
- Provide regular reports and presentations on industry trends, focusing on pharmaceutical developments, to support strategic decision-making.
- Analyze therapeutic roadmaps of Sponsors and CROs to identify areas for strategic alignment in support of Velocity’s growth objectives.
- Track and evaluate competitive activities, including new product launches, partnerships, and strategic moves within the Velocity landscape.
- Leverage comprehensive research, industry trend analysis, and competitive intelligence to generate actionable insights that support strategic decision making, market position, and growth opportunities for the Organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine initiatives based on market and industry insight.
- Utilize data management tools and software to collect, analyze, and visualize macroeconomic and industry data.
- Create dashboards and visual reports to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Provide analytical support for business development activities, including market entry strategies, competitive positioning, and pricing decisions within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Familiarity with the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and clinical trials industries.
- Knowledge of coding and/or statistical analysis language(s) (e.g. Pyhton, R, STATA, or SQL).
- Proficiency in data visualization platforms such as Tableau (including Tableau Prep, Tableau Desktop, and Tableau server) or Power BI.
- Proficiency in the application of advanced multivariate techniques of analysis (e.g. Factor Analysis, Regression Modeling, etc.), qualitative data methods (e.g. grounded-theory analysis), and mixed-methods/data triangulation reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with complex datasets and derive meaningful insights.
- Prior experience in a clinical research organization is required.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills to effectively convey insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage workflows, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Leadership capabilities to drive collaboration and influence decision-making without direct reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (E.g. Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Statistics etc.) or equivalent experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in Clinical Research or related field is strongly preferred.
