We're looking for a modern thinker—someone fluent in the power of storytelling and the application of AI and new technologies to work faster, smarter, and more efficiently while upholding the highest creative standards. He/she will embrace innovation, data, and experimentation as part of the toolkit and lead with clarity, conviction, and inspiration.
This role will lead the development and evolution of Velocity Global's brand strategy and content engine—driving high-quality, compelling, and scalable narratives across the customer lifecycle.
This is a hybrid role based in Palo Alto. You will report to the Global Head of Marketing.
You Will:
- Brand strategy and development: Develop and implement a forward-looking, insight-driven brand strategy aligned to business growth goals. Define and evolve brand positioning, messaging architecture, voice and tone, and visual identity across the entire customer journey.
- Content strategy and production: Partner with Digital and Demand Generation to align content strategy with audience needs, funnel stages, and channel-specific performance. Oversee creation of high-performing, multi-format content including blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, social media, videos, ads, sales enablement, and email communications. Integrate GenAI tools and emerging tech into the content workflow to increase scale, personalization, and speed without compromising quality.
- Process and workflow management: Design scalable and agile content and creative operations—ensuring high-quality, fast-turn content and campaign delivery across functions.Lead briefing, timeline, and review processes across internal and external resources with structured checkpoints and quality standards.Champion process innovation to improve output velocity, alignment, and effectiveness.
- Brand governance and daily management: Own and evolve brand guidelines across all platforms—ensuring clear governance of design, voice, tone, and visual consistency. Manage brand presence across digital platforms, including website, social media, events, and partner campaigns.
- Leadership and team development: Design, hire, and lead a high-performing team of brand, content, and creative professionals. Foster a strong team culture rooted in creativity, accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Resource and Budget Management: Build a flexible resource model that combines internal creators with trained external freelancers and agencies for agile execution. Manage and allocate content budget, partnering with Marketing Ops & Planning to ensure optimal return on spend and resource utilization.
You Have:
- 12 years of experience leading brand, creative, and content functions within high-growth B2B organizations—preferably a mix of startups and scaled global brands.
- Proven expertise in brand positioning, storytelling, and content strategy that fuels business growth and elevates brand equity.
- Hands-on experience with GenAI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper, Descript, Midjourney), creative collaboration platforms (e.g., Figma, Canva, Adobe CC), and content delivery systems (e.g., CMS, DAMs).
- Demonstrated success applying AI and automation to accelerate and personalize content development and delivery.
- Deep understanding of digital channels, SEO, paid media, and social content—especially performance-focused content and creative for SMB audiences.
- Strong editorial instincts and design sensibility across web, email, ads, and social.
- Highly collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- A coach-player mindset with a strong bias for action, innovation, and results.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
