Job Description:
Velocity Portfolio Group is seeking a dedicated Servicer Oversight Specialist to join our Compliance team. This role is crucial in mitigating risks associated with outsourcing functions to servicers by performing continuous reviews and ensuring compliance with operational, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in executing various servicer reviews, including deployment, artifact tracking, and account-level and process testing.
· Complete assigned test work and summarize results in work papers according to departmental policies and procedures.
· Track, assess, and communicate deficiencies or exceptions noted during testing to the manager or as directed.
· Provide assistance with special projects, critical process reviews, administrative activities, and special reviews as necessary.
· Assist in ensuring servicer compliance with operational, regulatory, and contractual requirements under management's direction.
· Perform assigned review testing using appropriate sampling techniques and data analysis.
· Conduct artifact and/or account level testing to ensure compliance with policies/procedures, federal, state, and local laws, and contractual requirements.
· Communicate progress, findings, and results of assigned test work to the manager or as directed within established deadlines.
· Prepare detailed review work papers to substantiate fieldwork performed, testing results, and review conclusions.
· Seek additional work and assist other team members to achieve department goals and objectives.

Decision Making Latitude:
· Assist with fieldwork execution, including working directly with servicer providers to request review evidence and conduct interviews to understand business processes.
· Review applicable documentation with minimal supervisory review, impacting the quality of risk review deliverables and compliance with procedures.
· Evaluate controls for gaps/deficiencies, impacting servicer remediation efforts, scope of review projects, and reporting of issues to executive management.
