About Us

Velocity produces “restomod” restorations where classic vehicles are upgraded with modern parts, drivetrain, and technology making them functionally new while maintaining an original or vintage aesthetic. The company has pioneered a custom classic vehicle renovation via an assembly line process, ensuring a high level of quality control, with a known price, and significantly decreased build time. We have a talented team of 130 employees and a 135,000 square foot facility in Cantonment, Florida where we are continuing to add additional production lines and new vehicle offerings.

Overview

As an Interior Sales Executive at Velocity, you will play a crucial role in promoting and selling our interior products. This position requires a dynamic individual who can represent our brand at national events, collaborate with third-party businesses and continuously develop and manage our product lines.

Vice President of Sales

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively sell and promote Velocity’s interior products at national automotive events.
  • Engage with potential customers, providing detailed information and demonstrating the unique benefits of our available packages.
  • Work closely with third-party businesses and shops to encourage the stocking and use of Velocity’s interiors.
  • Establish and maintain strong business relationships, negotiating terms that benefit both parties and expand our market presence.
  • Manage existing interior product lines while identifying opportunities for new product development within the interior and parts categories.
  •  Ensure our offerings meet the highest standards of quality and innovation expected by our customers. Develop BOMs, kits and contracts to facilitate the sale of products.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research, including competitor analysis and market trends. Compile detailed reports to inform strategic decisions and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of every product in the Velocity portfolio, including production line vehicles, down to the most specific technical details. Stay informed about industry advancements and technological innovations relevant to our product lines.
  • Compile weekly market and competitor reports and use this data to maintain a data-backed status of the market.
  • Attendance of market-effecting events for research, such as auctions, trade shows and new product reveals.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Must be reliable and trustworthy.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google Suite. CRM experience is essential.
  • Professional verbal and written communication.
  • Friendly, professional demeanor and positive attitude.
  • Attention to detail, strong accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and stay on work-related tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work overtime if needed. This is an on call evenings, weekends, and holidays position.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.

 

Success in this Role:

Minimum Expectations

  • To sell a total of 120 interior products yearly.
  • To finalize and document specifications and contracts for each product respectively.
  • To design and prepare a truck and trailer for promotion of these products.
  • To strategize and implement how to display these products at events.
  • To attend nationwide events to promote and sell these products.
  • To meet a minimum lead conversion rate and other key performance indicators.
  • To design and write a weekly newsletter advertising these products.
  • To compile weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly interior market and competitor reports as outlined by the Chief Revenue Officer.

Moderate Expectations

  • All minimum expectations.
  • To sell a total of 160 interior products yearly.
  • To partner with 3 or more small builders / shops for their exclusive use of Velocity interior products.
  • To become adept at the Shopify e-commerce platform, including compiling reports and updating product specifications directly in the Shopify CMS.
  • To bring one new Velocity component or product to market.

Exceeds Expectations

  • All moderate expectations.
  • To sell a total of 200 interior products yearly.
  • To partner with 6 or more small builders / shops for their exclusive use of Velocity interior products.
  • To bring three new Velocity components or products to market.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous automotive experience, preferably from a highly technical / interior related field.

Physical Demands (To include but not limited to)

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or workstation.
  • Occasional standing or walking within the office or shop, such as attending meetings, retrieving documents, or interacting with customers or employees.
  • Occasionally lifting and carrying items, typically weighing up to 10-20 pounds.
  • Frequent use of fingers and hands for typing, writing, and operating a computer.
  • Using telephones, printers, copiers, and other office tools.
  • Frequent need to focus on printed or digital material.
  • Reviewing financial documents, schedules, or customer data with accuracy.
  • Regular communication with customers, vendors, and team members, either in person, on the phone, or via video conferencing.
  • Engaging with customers in person or over the phone, sometimes requiring extended periods of active listening and problem-solving.
  • Prolonged exposure to hot or cold temperatures.
  • Mild noise from office machines or nearby shop areas if the office is adjacent to the workshop. PPE may be required while walking through the shop. 
  • Moving around the office or between departments, sometimes requiring the ability to climb stairs.
  • Safely operate a motor vehicle.
