SUMMARY
Responsible for system design, programming and equipment deliverables in accordance with the project plans and specifications and Commerce Controls proposal.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You may be required to perform any or all of the following duties. (Additional duties may be assigned.)
- Review plans, specifications and proposals to gain a thorough understanding of the project.
- System Design responsibilities including the preparation and development of equipment submittals, schematic design, equipment layout, and bills of material.
- Software Development and Programming responsibilities including PLC programming and HMI graphics development.
- Field Commissioning to include hardware checkout, software debug and customer training.
- Collaboration and communications with internal staff and project stakeholders.
- Documentation including project records, correspondences, and reports.
- Advise Project Management of customer change requests or proposal discrepancies.
- Work with Purchasing in procuring project equipment and materials.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing to ensure efficient and accurate construction.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to the Group Engineering Manager and works under the direction of the Engineering Manager and Project Managers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with one-year experience or an Associate’s degree in Engineering with two year’s related experience, or minimum four years’ experience in Automotive/Industrial Processes and college instruction in a related field.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds and infrequently lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee may be required to enter confined spaces and/or climb high elevations.
TRAVEL
25% travel with overnight stays.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The noise level in the office environment is usually moderate.
While performing the duties on the job site, the employee may occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high elevations, confined spaces; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. Employees must follow the rules and regulations of the job site on which they are working, such as drug/alcohol testing, hard hats, safety rules, steel toe shoes, etc. The noise level during fieldwork is usually moderate to loud, depending on job site.
Compensation: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
