Inspired by the wrongful imprisonment of Mary Jane Veloso, our mission is to address systemic injustices and support vulnerable populations through research, policy development, and public awareness campaigns.
Role Overview: As a Social Marketing Intern, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our digital presence and engaging with our audience to raise awareness about our initiatives. You will assist in creating content, managing social media accounts, and developing strategies to amplify our advocacy efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation:
- Develop and create engaging content for various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).
- Assist in drafting and designing promotional materials, including graphics, videos, and infographics.
- Ensure content aligns with the Veloso Justice Center's mission and values.
Social Media Management:
- Manage and monitor social media accounts, including scheduling posts and responding to comments and messages.
- Track and analyze social media metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns.
- Collaborate with the team to plan and execute social media strategies and campaigns.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Creative and detail-oriented with a passion for social justice and human rights.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in graphic design and video editing software is a plus.
