Accounting Manager
Velox is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to join our growing organization!
The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of Velox, LLC, and other related companies, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all financial transactions as well as being accountable and responsible for critical functions including bookkeeping, AR, AP, revenue recognition, and other essential accounting tasks, while maintaining the integrity, strong controls, and accuracy of the company's financial information. Reporting to the CFO, the Accounting Manager will provide the CFO with assistance on all financial related tasks. This position is for a hands-on working manager that brings their accounting skills, knowledge and experience to the accounting department.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the accounting department.
- Oversee the GL, subsidiary ledgers, intercompany transactions, reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements and reports for CFO.
- Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, controls and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze financial data and trends.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Supervise accounting staff and provide training and guidance.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants.
- Assist in financial planning and analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An MBA, CPA, or CMA is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Proven ability to manage AR and AP processes, as well as overall bookkeeping functions.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, policies and regulations.
- Ability to adapt to changing business environments and recommend data-driven decisions.
- High ethical standards, commitment to financial integrity, and accountability are essential.
- Excellent communication, time management skills, and ability to adapt to change is critical.
- Proficiency in financial management systems (QuickBooks Online experience is required).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.
- Ability to operate independently and productively in a lean, small-team environment.
- Experience in telecommunications utility construction, or telecom industry is a plus.
- Experience in a small, closely held, founder-led small business is preferred.

Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
