What are the responsibilities and job description for the User Experience Designer position at Velvet?

Responsibilties

Work closely with the product manager and engineering manager as a leadership team
Work closely with engineers to refine the scope of features and ensure they are implemented on time
Conduct user research through regular customer interviews and iterate on designs based on feedback
Take ownership of the user experience and ensure that it aligns with our unique customer base
Create and maintain a design system

Requirements

2 years experience in UI / UX design, with a strong portfolio

Proficiency in Figma

Experience conducting user research, including interviews and analyzing research data

Basic understanding of web development to collaborate with engineers

Self-starter who can take initiative in a fast-paced startup environment

Located in Utah

Preferred

Experience in or knowledge of the venture capital industry

Familiarity with creating and maintaining design systems

Compensation

Salary range : 80k (dependent upon experience)

Health / Dental / Vision insurance and 401k plan (no company contribution)

Hybrid work schedule (2-3 days in office, 2-3 days WFH)

Downtown SLC office

Unlimited PTO

Total estimated compensation : ~$110,000
