Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Floorhand to join our team in the oil and gas industry. As a Floorhand, you will play a crucial role in supporting drilling operations on-site. This position requires physical stamina, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for assisting with various tasks related to drilling and maintaining equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
Duties
- Assist in various manual labor tasks, including running the workover floor and rigging up/down.
- Handle rods and tubing while tripping to the derrick.
- Safely and responsibly handle equipment and tools, ensuring proper maintenance and storage.
- Operate construction machinery, including backhoe, vac truck, and forklift.
- Install and tear down equipment as required.
- Load and offload equipment safely and efficiently.
- Identify and report any issues with operating equipment.
- Follow safety procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
- Complete projects to specification with accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role or industry is advantageous but not required.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Ability to obtain necessary certifications or training as needed.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in outdoor environments.
- Basic knowledge of workover rig and operations.
- Experience with construction machinery is advantageous.
- Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.
- Good communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Adaptability and willingness to work flexible hours and in varying weather conditions.
