Position Overview :
The CMDB Data Scientist will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to support IT service management processes. This position requires a deep understanding of data science principles, CMDB architecture, and ITIL practices. The ideal candidate will possess advanced analytical skills and the ability to handle complex datasets, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and availability for informed decision-making in a secure environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the CMDB, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and ITIL processes.
- Develop and apply advanced data models and algorithms to analyze and interpret complex datasets within the CMDB.
- Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to define data requirements and ensure the CMDB supports business needs and compliance requirements.
- Conduct data quality assessments and implement data cleansing and validation procedures to maintain the accuracy and reliability of the CMDB.
- Utilize Power BI to create and manage interactive dashboards, enabling stakeholders to easily view and interpret CMDB data.
- Ensure seamless integration of CMDB data with ServiceNow and other IT systems, enhancing data accessibility and operational efficiency.
- Provide expert guidance on the integration of CMDB data with other IT systems and tools.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to CMDB architecture, processes, and data management standards.
- Participate in audits and reviews to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in data science and configuration management to enhance CMDB capabilities.
