Mission:
We are looking for a highly motivated NA Financial Analyst to join our teams based in New York!
Reporting to the NA Business Controller, the NA Financial Analyst will be supporting the monitoring and analysis of the financial and operational activities of business units and stores located in the US.
This role requires a highly skilled professional to collaborate with the store management team and the finance department to ensure effective financial management and detailed performance control.
Our Retail channel is very dynamic and growing quickly, and is central for the development of our company, with direct stores in Italy, UK and US and planned openings in other European countries. It's a great opportunity for an ambitious talent who wants to make a difference in the Retail world.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and support the monthly and annual financial statements.
- Record and book accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of cost allocation across business units and cost centers.
- Contribute to revenue analysis, identifying trends and insights by business unit.
Cost Management & Budgeting:
- Conduct cost analyses by shop and business unit, collaborating with managers to drive efficiency and cost savings through data-driven decisions.
- Assist in budget preparation and forecasting while monitoring financial performance and store ROI.
Inventory & Operational Support:
- Oversee and participate in cycle counts and quarterly inventory audits to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to promote financial best practices and process improvements.
Strategic & Ad Hoc Projects:
- Support special projects assigned by the Controller and/or CFO, contributing to financial and operational improvements
The Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in finance/accounting, preferably within an audit firm or a retail-oriented company.
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in financial software: Advanced Excel, Microsoft D365, and Power BI (preferred).
- Experience with FP&A processes is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate in a multicultural and international environment.
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, retail-driven environment
