They have some ambitious growth plans and as a result they have an opening for a Junior level Cost Engineer with experience in Structures, specifically in dry construction and culverts to join a growing, organized team working with one of the best Structural Construction teams in the state.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and track project budgets throughout the construction phase, adjusting forecasts as necessary to stay within budget.
• Perform cost analysis and provide regular reports on project financial performance, including cost trends and variances.
• Implement cost control measures to ensure efficient resource allocation and prevent budget overruns.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to review and approve change orders, ensuring financial impact is documented and managed.
• Advise on cost-effective methods and strategies for project execution, offering financial insights to support decision-making.
• Review contracts, budgets, and project scopes to ensure cost estimates align with project goals and deliverables.
• Maintain accurate financial records for audits, reporting, and future reference.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in cost estimation and project management software (e.g., Procore, HCSS).
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial data, identify trends, and make cost-saving recommendations.
• Experience with contract management and change order processes.
• Strong communication skills for reporting financial performance and collaborating with project teams.
• Attention to detail in maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Experience in risk management, specifically identifying and mitigating financial risks.
