I'm excited to announce Venda Search are working with a number of leading heavy civil construction companies in NY, NJ, CT, PA, MA & ME. The companies specialize in large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, utilities, and site development. They're searching for experienced Estimators to work on their large scale Transportation projects with local counties and the DOT.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects, including earthworks, utilities, roads, and structures.
- Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to understand scope of work.
- Analyze and compare subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing.
- Develop cost-effective solutions and value engineering alternatives.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy of estimates.
- Assist in pre-bid meetings and presentations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy civil construction estimating.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- In-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
