My client is looking for a new Quality Control Lab Manager who will supervise a highly capable team, conduct plant visits to make sure their Asphalt Hot Mix meets industry requirements and have the autonomy to make changes that will impact the direction of the team going forwards
They've constructed over 15,000 miles of highway in the last 30 years, sold over $2bn worth of Asphalt and have plans to invest in their Asphalt Plant operations over the next few years

Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure compliance with quality control standards for asphalt mix production.
- Conduct and analyze material testing, making adjustments to optimize mix performance.
- Maintain and calibrate lab equipment while ensuring safety and housekeeping standards.
- Communicate effectively with plant personnel, DOT officials, and project teams.
- Train and mentor QC technicians on testing procedures and industry best practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Hot Mix Asphalt Level 3 certification (or ability to obtain).
- Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with lab equipment, mix design, and quality control processes.
