What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook position at Venerable Concepts?
Red Rooster is looking for a line cook to expand its small & mighty team! Looking for a position to fill 15-25 hours- evening and weekend brunch shifts. We are a scratch kitchen and source the majority of our food from local farms and businesses. Come learn from our team and expand your culinary knowledge!

Responsibilities
- Prep items for the dinner and brunch shifts
- Work the line efficiently
- Maintain health and safety guidelines
- Efficiently work with team members towards one goal
- Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
- Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers and snacks
- Plating prepared foods based on senior chef’s guidance
- Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time
- Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts
- Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations
- Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Cooking experience or Back of the House experience preferred
- Great attention to detail
- Team player
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Strong verbal communication skills and attention to detail
- Able to meet all scheduling commitments
- Able to anticipate needs of others in the kitchen and proactively work to meet those needs
