What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Assistant position at Venetian Golf Club?
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reports To: General Manager & Club Accountant
Directly Manages: None
Specifically, the Accounting Assistant must:
- Perform daily accounting tasks including posting and processing payments, answering billing inquiries, posting charges to accounts, etc.
- Bank deposits and daily posting of revenues and receipts
- Petty Cash tracking and reconciliation
- Track and verify club Accounts Receivables
- Enter vendor invoices in to accounting software - Accounts Payable
- Month-end inventory reports, cost of goods sold and tracking logs.
- Ensure accurate and timely input of information regarding new/terminated employees and timely submission of payroll information.
- Receive, review, and process documents pertaining to new hires and personnel actions, verifying for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established policy and procedural requirements.
- Manage and maintain all employee files; process HR related paperwork.
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
- Coordinate all staff functions.
- Verify I-9 documentation and maintain book current.
- Organize, review, obtain approval, and transmit personnel documents to corporate headquarters in a timely manner.
- Order and stock office supplies for the club
- Greet Members and Guests
- Answer and direct incoming calls
- Assist all department heads with various administrative projects which include but are not limited to: maintenance of contact database, coordinating various mailings, weekly reports, all marketing materials
- Take dining and event reservations
- Possess vast knowledge of the club to answer all questions
- Perform special projects, as assigned by the Office Manager
