Position Summary
Our company has an opening for a full-time Guardianship / Estate Planning Attorney to provide direct legal representation to caregivers of minor children who are not under the care of their biological parents and are under the legal care of a kinship caregiver. The attorney will represent caregivers in Guardianship and Guardianship Advocacy cases, draft wills and other estate planning documents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing a full caseload.
- Meeting with clients to determine appropriate legal advocacy.
- Participating in court hearings, mediations, negotiations, and staff meetings.
- Legal research and drafting of pleadings.
- Conduct outreach to community organizations to promote the Kinship Project's services.
