Job Summary
Our practice is to serve the full range of legal needs of companies in transportation and logistics whose businesses involve the transportation of freight, including brokers, carriers, and shippers.
Practice Areas: Niche practice. Transportation and logistics contracts, claims & litigation, business formation/management, Defending against preference claims in bankruptcy, confidentiality and non-compete/non-solicitation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Motions, pleadings, discovery, some depositions (not a lot), court appearances;
- Appearing in state or federal magistrate courts.
- Often trying to remove to federal court.
- Complex litigation with multiple parties like construction litigation. Contractor, subcontractor, shipper, broker, owner
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demand letters, ability to talk to clients and discuss matters.
- Keen collaboration and communication skills. Claims investigation. Immediate client contact.
Education & Experience
- 1-5 years of experience
- Similar industries like construction that comprehend the same type of clientele (repeat business) would be good. He has the forms and briefs.
- Does NOT require experience in transportation claims. Open to other industries like construction. This practice primarily deals with 2-3 statutes - Open to train on the transportation side.

Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
