Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting blueprints: Finish carpenters work from blueprints, sketches, and building plans to meet client specifications
- Measuring, cutting, and shaping materials: They use hand and power tools to create and install detailed structures and fixtures, primarily using wood
- Installing final touch items: This includes molding, trim, stairs, doors, cabinets, shelving, and hardware
- Repairing and replacing damaged wood products or fixtures
- Ensuring proper installation and safety standards for all carpentry structures
- Maintaining cleanliness and safety of the worksite
- Ordering supplies and materials as needed
- Coordinating with other professionals and communicating with clients
Qualificaitons
- High School diploma desired but not required
- 2-3 years with carpentry experience, could be as framers, finish or regular carpenters.
