Position Summary
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) responsible for delivering compassionate, client-centered care to individuals in an outpatient setting. The Nurse Practitioner will conduct psychiatric evaluations, prescribe medications, and monitor patient progress. This role involves collaborating with the Clinical Director and clinical team to ensure the highest quality of mental health care and compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, the Nurse Practitioner will contribute to program development, quality improvement, and clinical decision-making.
Essencial Duties and Responsabilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.Monitor and evaluate treatment progress, adjusting medications and care plans as needed to ensure optimal client outcomes.Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.Address co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders with appropriate interventions.Collaboration and ConsultationCollaborate with the Clinical Director, therapists, and other clinicians to ensure integrated care.
Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings to discuss client cases and coordinate treatment strategies.Serve as a clinical resource, providing consultation on complex cases and assisting with clinical decision-making.Engage in case consultations to ensure the provision of high-quality care.Program DevelopmentContribute to the development of clinical protocols and programs to meet client needs effectively.
Stay current with advancements in mental health care and incorporate evidence-based practices into clinical services.Collaborate with clinical leadership in refining and expanding services, including group facilitation and client education initiatives.Compliance and Quality ImprovementEnsure all services are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as organizational standards.
Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of care.Assist in preparing for regulatory and accrediting body reviews as needed.Professional DevelopmentEngage in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in the field of psychiatry and mental health.
Participate in regular clinical supervision and coaching sessions.Maintain all required licensure and certifications and participate in continuing education as required by state regulations and organizational policy.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated proficiency with electronic health record systems and documentation requirements.Strong understanding of evidence-based treatment approaches, including psychopharmacology.Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including active listening and providing clear guidance to clients and team members.Empathy : Ability to demonstrate compassion and understanding of clients' challenges and needs.Problem-solving : Capable of developing and implementing creative solutions to address client and clinical challenges.Collaboration : Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.Cultural Competency : Awareness and sensitivity to working with diverse populations and adapting care accordingly.Ability to perform the physical tasks typical of a healthcare provider, such as sitting for extended periods, using a computer, and interacting with clients.Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.Ability to walk up and down stairs during emergency drills or situations.Education & Experience
Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with prescriptive authority.Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).Experience working with individuals with mental health and substance use disorders preferred.Clinical expertise : In-depth knowledge of psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning.Employment Type : Full Time
