Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment.
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Start machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data.
- Set up, operate, or tend machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal or plastic material.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to read and write English.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting (25 to 50 lbs).
- Comfortable working in hot/cold environments.
- Able to sit/stand and perform repetitive motions for the entire shift.
- Ability to bend and twist throughout the day.
- Able to work some overtime if needed.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and preference for knowledge of press machines.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Able to operate a machine safely and adhere to guidelines and PPE requirements at all times.
- Ability to follow simple instructions.
- Good hand and eye coordination.
- Excellent attendance (ability to arrive on time, as scheduled daily).
- Attention to detail and safety are essential.
- Age requirement: 18 years or older.
- Minimum educational requirement: high school diploma or equivalent.
