At Ventana Canyon, nestled in Tucson Santa Catalina foothills, the sun rises across our pristine 600-acre desert preserve with its flowering landscape, rolling hills, winding riverbeds, craggy canyons, and pine-topped peaks. The Ventana Canyon Golf & Racquet Club is a beautiful and secluded member-owned country club with 36 holes of championship golf and 50 guest suites, rated as one of America's top golf resorts.
Seeking a Beverage Cart Attendant to provide a convenient method for members and guests to obtain food and beverage while out on the golf course.
Essential Functions:
- Confirms Beverage cart is fully operational before starting rounds on the golf course.
- Stocks and cleans beverage cart throughout the day.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by management.
- Ensures guests are attended to in a prompt, efficient and personalized manner.
- Serves food and beverage items to guests while on the golf course.
- Responds to customer questions regarding general information of the facility.
- Reviews schedules for changes on calendar of events and club activities daily.
- Accountable for all checks and cash transactions that may, at times, be high volume.
- Utilizes Point of Sales system and creates daily sales reports.
- Able to apply basic math skills.
- Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- All other duties as needed and or assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Be able to meet the physical demands of the position.
- Required to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; to write routine reports and correspondence; to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organization.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Alcohol Awareness training.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- One to three months customer service experience and/or training in restaurant environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Must be fluent in English.
- Must possess good verbal listening skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Exposure to changing weather conditions including sun, heat, rain, cold, wind, light, dark snow etc.
- Must be able to reach, bend, twist, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks as required.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates.
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
