Description

The Lodge at Ventana Canyon Golf & Racquet Club is seeking an experienced Houseperson to deliver the highest quality of service to all guests and to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide daily cleaning for all the operation, including but not limited to hallways, carpets and doorways
- Perform light cleaning and heavy cleaning including but not limited to vacuuming, sweeping, floor cleaning, cleaning light fixtures, washing and drying towels and rags, emptying trash cans and ashtrays.
- Identify and report to supervisor when supplies are needed.
- Stripping all dirty linens and terry out of guest rooms.
- Stocking housekeeping closets as well as keeping the closet clean.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Attends department staff meetings.
Qualifications
- Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one and two step instructions; to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Able to reasonably facilitate guest requests and or challenges.
- Required to work indoors and outdoors in inclement weather as well as fair weather.
- Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Department Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Six months housekeeping experience or training, preferred
- Required to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers; to print and speak simple sentences.
- Meet the physical demands of the position: Frequently stands, climbs, walks and sits. Regularly uses hands to finger, feel or handle, pushes, pulls reaches with hands and arms. Frequently stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, climbs stairs, talks, hears. Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
