Night auditors perform end-of-day accounting tasks and overnight front desk duties. They assist late-night guests, process check-ins and check-outs, and address other customer requests. They also audit, reconcile, and balance daily financial activities. In the night auditor role, you will work closely with the hotel’s bookkeepers and front desk agents to ensure guests are checked in and books kept up to date. You will answer guest inquiries, book reservations, and update customer accounts and ledgers. You will be expected to maintain a professional and friendly attitude when interacting with hotel customers.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Check out Guests / Members using Jonas (credit line). Reviews bill for accuracy and makes
appropriate changes.
Closes out and balances Jonas and submits to accounting.Posts room, tax and initiates end of day process for property management system.Balances Front Desk shift audits to the property management system.Performs daily, weekly, and month-end systems closing procedure for point of sales systemsand property management systems for the accounting department for various analysis and
statistical reporting.
Ensures shutdown / restart interfacings for all systems after the end of the day process is complete.Balances, credit cards and house charges.Review and Preparation for Next Day.Make corrections on Jonas for charges and credit cards as documented by cashiers oncorresponding paperwork.
Prints registration cards, makes keys, and prepares envelopes for next day arrivals.Checks group sales accurately and debits proper account.Sort, organize, and prepare tickets for accounting.Matches registration cards with Jonas (Bucket Check) to ensure accuracy of room rates.Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.Performs Guest Service Agent duties as needed to include but not limited to taking reservations,posting charges, checking guests in and out, promoting facility activities and special events,
answering guest questions, providing information regarding resort, and surrounding area,
handling monetary transactions, and completing required paperwork.
Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Department Leader.Security Oversight.Attend staff meetings.Skills / Abilities :

Knowledge of property management systems, EZ Links, Abacus, and Jonas (or similar) applicationsEducation / Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management or relatedfield is a plus
Must be 21 or older to operate the company van.Possess a valid driver's license and pass a driving record check.Must be able to pass a background check.Three to six months’ customer service night audit experience and / or training; or equivalentcombination of education and experience preferred.

Prolonged periods of standing and sitting..Must be able to transfer luggage from vehicle trunks to bell carts and to guest rooms, ranging upto 40lbs.
Must be able to physically reach, bend, stoop and kneel.Must be able to work under variable temperature conditions (extreme heat or cold, indoors / outdoors).
