Job Description :
The Senior Systems Analyst, Financial Planning Systems is responsible for the operational management and enhancements of the planning systems and data across all business units and corporate FP&A. This individual's primary responsibility will be to design, develop, maintain, monitor, and enhance the performance and functionality of the planning and reporting processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Operational Responsibilities
Maintain and improve the current multisystem (Vena, Yardi, and Argus) planning environment for segment and corporate FP&A teams.
Manage day to day system administration and support the FP&A team to help understand and use the financial tools and data effectivelyMaintain data integrity and accuracy across financial planning and reporting systemsProvide systems support for monthly and quarterly forecasting and reporting processesUtilize Extract, Transform Load (ETL) tools to provide additional data transformations between systemsManage vendors for support, periodic upgrades, escalation, etc.Enhancements and ProjectsCollaborate with finance stakeholders and IT teams to create and document business requirements
Lead, drive, and refine systems were needed to support existing and new requirements with minimal disruptionsDesign, build and roll out new solutions for planning, data management, and reportingSupport FP&A's ongoing data needsAdvance efforts to move offline and Excel work into systemsPerform other duties that support the overall objectives of the position and the departmentThe position requires
Knowledge of finance, financial methods, tools, reporting, and strategiesExperience with administration and development of planning systems such as Vena,Argus, Anaplan or HyperionKnowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) such as YardiKnowledge of financial planning and reporting processes and terminologyProficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with advanced skill level in Excel and Power Query Excel functionsAbility to demonstrate strong analytical, quantitative, and investigative skills to understand business concerns and challengesAbility to manage multiple deliverables and competing prioritiesAbility to engage effectively across all levels and various functions in the organizationsAbility to demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data integrity and financial acumenAbility to handle and maintain confidential informationAbility to work independently as a self-starter in a fast-paced environmentAbility to demonstrate excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)Occasional after-hours work is requiredOccasional travel as neededExperience :
5-7 years in industry or consulting with 2 years emphasis on planning systemsExperience in implementing and administering a planning system, preference for VenaExperience designing conceptual, logical, and physical data modelsExperience with data transformation and dashboard reporting tools such as Power BI and TableauExperience in developing and disseminating detailed reports to executivesExperience in the real estate industry is preferredDemonstrated Project Management SkillsStrong Change Management SkillsEducation :
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or related fieldLI-Hybrid
