Title: Accounting Supervisor

POSITION TYPE: Full time. 6-month Contract-to-Direct Hire.
PAY: $60,000 to $70,000 annually based on level of experience.
Requirements of the Accounting Supervisor:
- A Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related is required. Understanding of GAAP.
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in corporate Accounting that includes delegating and overseeing work.
- Strong experience in general accounting including reconciliations, journal entries, and month end / period end closing.
- Technical capability with MS Office and QuickBooks.
Duties of the Accounting Supervisor:
- Provide direct support to the Director of Finance and Administration. Develop effective relationships with team members to achieve company goals.
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of the accounting department. Motivate team members and encourage good work performance.
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll activities and delegate work.
- Provide support for escalated accounting issues. Engage sales, operation, or marketing to resolve questions.
- Ensure payments to vendors are processed in a timely manner.
- Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger processing and general accounting such as tracking fixed assets and calculating/recording accrual entries.
- Ensure transactions meet SOX Compliance.
- Take part in continuous improvement and audit activities.
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
