Duties of Payroll Analyst III:
- Process payroll for employees accurately and on time (including salary, overtime, bonuses, and deductions).
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, including payroll tax filings.
- Handle payroll reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in payroll reports.
- Stay up to date with labor laws, wage regulations, and payroll tax requirements.
- Ensure payroll tax payments and filings (e.g., quarterly and year-end tax reporting, W-2s, 941s, and 1099s).
- Utilize payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday) to process and manage payroll.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
- Address employee inquiries regarding paychecks, deductions, and tax withholdings.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, ensuring timely corrections.
- Prepare payroll reports for management and finance teams (e.g., payroll costs, tax summaries).
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting payroll expenses.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and collaborate with accounting for month-end and year-end closing.
- Process benefits-related deductions, such as health insurance, retirement contributions, and garnishments.
- Provide guidance to junior payroll specialists or assist in training new team members.
- Act as a payroll subject matter expert for internal teams.
Requirements of Payroll Analyst III:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (preferred).
- Payroll Certifications are a plus.
- 5 plus years of payroll processing experience.
- Proficiency in payroll systems (ADP, Paychex, Workday, QuickBooks, etc.), strong MS Excel skills.
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
